Besides relaxing a LOT more, I would drink loads of water everyday. That is the second most important thing you can do if you are experiencing acne. Then I would remove greasy and acid foods as much as possible from my diet. I know it’s hard to do that as a teenager, especially if you’re surrounded with friends who do eat that crap. But hey, there is no price on clear skin and all that junk food is not only likely to worsen your skin it can make you sick as hell over the long run. Finally, instead of trying a gazillion commercial products to cure my acne, I would pick a few natural home remedies for acne and stick with them for a few months to see how they fare.

When I was a teenager, I used to have bad acne in the face. It was not the worst acne you’ve ever seen but bad enough to make me ashamed. At the height of it all I got so obsessed with cleaning my face that I can now see – looking back – how detrimental my attitude towards my acne was and how it only further dragged me down into a vicious circle. If I could go back the #1 thing I would do is relax and not intervene and manipulate my skin so much. Cleaning your face 7 to 8 times a day will not help you kids – trust me. The energy you generate as you take care of your face is as important as the actions you are taking to remedy your skin. Really.
